The Children’s Family Trust is a Children’s Charity and Independent Fostering Agency established in 1945. The trust has offices across the UK and works with more than 100 local authorities, supporting more foster carers and children than ever before.
The CFT also supports siblings groups along with Parent and Child placements.
Irrespective of this growth The CFT has remained committed to providing a high quality service which supports fostering households and puts the children and young people first. As a Trust our aim is to achieve stability and security for our children and young people, helping them to develop their talents and skills, achieve their potential educationally and therefore enabling them to make the most of the opportunities available to them.

When renewing a contract with your IT provider, there are many elements to consider. For Paresh, Head of Finance, there were three main areas that were causing real issues for the charity.

Understanding the needs and the vision of where the charity was going we were able to put together a collaborative yet consultative led IT infrastructure, that would serve their needs and grow with the charity.
The project team configured and migrated the charity across to our cloud technology.

Moving to our hosted desktop meant the charity could always have an up-to-date, fully managed IT system that fitted within their budget, and provided the charity with the flexibility it needed with regards to home working as well growing and connecting other areas of the charity within our cloud technology.
Hosted Telephony
Moving to our hosted telephony solution meant that The Children’s Family Trust have flexibility to contact colleagues from anywhere using the internal phone system.
This supported the home working solution with workers able to use physical desk phones, laptop soft phones and a mobile app to stay in touch.

Future Projects as CFT go Digital
Since we started working with Paresh at The Children’s Family Trust in 2019, we have collaboratively extended our projects to help the charity further in meeting their goals. The project has since been extended past IT Support offerings including an upgrade of their phone and conference system to our innovative Connect365 technology. This technology seamlessly connects a digital communication system into their IT infrastructure.
Moving to hosted telephony was a natural evolution for the charity, this migration will give the charity even greater flexibility, scalability and added functionality.
