Job Summary
MFM-IT are looking for enthusiastic people to join our team of skilled engineers offering IT Services to our customer base primarily in the Midlands area.
Under the leadership of the infrastructure team leader and with continuing investment in personal development, the successful candidate will be given plenty of room to progress their skill set whilst providing an escalation point for both the helpdesk and datacentre.
The ideal candidate will have, as a minimum, a strong understanding of standard IT technologies (to include server, firewall, networking, backup) and have a strong desire to deliver a high quality service to external customers, primarily within approximately an hour of Birmingham area. The candidate would be expected to drive between our customer base and therefore a full clean UK driving license is required.
Main Responsibilities
- Providing IT Troubleshooting via Telephone and remote support software
- 3rd line Escalation from 1st and 2nd line support engineers
- To provide some onsite solution implementation
- Providing high level customer care and building relationships with customers
- Documenting changes and infrastructure
- To build personal knowledge of MFM-Its product portfolio
- Working with Senior Management team and Senior engineers to provide top level IT expertise
- Be a point of contact for P1 incidents

Technical Skills Required
- Previous experience of working in an IT environment to the requisite level of technical understanding
- Good Knowledge of virtualization technologies (Hyper-V). VMWare knowledge beneficial
- HPE Server, Storage and Networking experience.
- Ability to produce clear and concise documentation
- Microsoft Windows Server technology design and implementation
- Good knowledge of Active Directory/Microsoft Exchange design and implementation
- Experience of deploying M365/Azure solutions would be beneficial
- Understanding of security solutions such as implementation of Nextgen Firewalls
- Ideally candidate will hold MCSE/MCITP or equivalent and Veeam certifications would be beneficial
